RyDE is an architecture studio operating with core principles of open eyes, open ears, open hearts and open minds. Based in Brooklyn, RyDE provides design services for the built environment backed by over two decades of extensive experience in multiple geographies. We render professional services in the comprehensive design of buildings & spaces; from the top-down, understanding & framing the big picture; through the bottom-up, fussing over tiny details that evolve into the big picture. We offer design guidance for all phases of a project right from feasibility analyses, pre-planning & concept design, all the way to construction documents and construction administration.

Design Approach
RyDE believes that design is as much a response to use & function, context & time, economy & ecology, culture & society as it is a product of creativity, research & innovation. We understand that each design endeavor deserves its own distinct solution. We do not adhere to a fixed design philosophy or aesthetic, nor a one-size-fits-all approach. We constantly question our creative processes to remain open-minded and pluralistic in our thinking which allows us to deliver optimum results at every step of our work. We encourage the design diversity that evolves from answering the unique questions presented by the specificity, context and needs of each individual venture to create experiences that connect and celebrate people and communities.
Teamwork
No two design projects are the same and a good design team reflects that. RyDE follows a simple idea of keeping our team's composition open-ended and adaptive on a project-by-project basis. We have a deep understanding of architecture's role as a common thread across the many fields that create the built environment. Technology
On each project our studio aims to intersect historical & regional wisdoms with latest technologies to arrive at future-proof solutions, both at our desks where the design evolves and on the construction site where the design becomes reality. We are committed to and adept at using state-of-the-art design technologies including parametric modelling & Building Information Modelling (BIM) and will strive to integrate contemporary technologies with local & regional materials, construction methods and craftsmen to ensure our efforts in the design phase turn into construction phase techniques that are time-saving, economical & ecology conscious.
Rasesh J. Doshi, RA.
Founder | Principal
Rasesh is an Architect with over 20 years of professional experience in Architecture, Urban Design & Interior Design.
He is a Licensed and Registered Architect in the US (New York) and an Architect Member of the American Institute of Architects. He is a graduate of Pratt Institute, New York, with a Master’s degree in Urban Design and a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from the University of Mumbai, India. He is a LEED Accredited Professional (USGBC) and is a proponent of sustainability in design & construction as well as in daily lifestyle. His ongoing expertise with Passive House has helped him improve the energy efficiency of the latest projects he has undertaken.
Rasesh’s past experiences present a good balance between creative designs, technical know-how & architectural project management. His professional engagements prior to the founding of RyDE, span numerous design typologies in the built environment, including high-rise affordable & luxury residential buildings, hotels, mixed-use skyscrapers, healthcare, university & school planning, sports stadium design, adaptive re-use & conversion projects, master-planning & urban design for large developments as well as small scale interior design & renovations.
